Terms of Service
Halo is a wallet: you save your card and address once, then pay in one tap at any store on the Halo network. Halo is operated by Titan Prime LLC (Wyoming, USA). These terms are the agreement between you and us. We wrote them to be read.
What Halo is, and what it is not
Halo stores your payment and delivery details so you do not have to type them again, and proves it is you when you pay.
Halo is not a bank and not a payment institution. We never hold your money. When you pay, the funds move from your card to the store through our payment processor, Stripe. We never touch the balance and we never lend.
Halo is not the seller. Every purchase is a contract between you and the store. The store is responsible for the goods, the delivery, the taxes, and its own returns policy.
Your Halo
You need a working email address. You may add a phone number so we can reach you with a one-time code.
You must be 18 or older, or old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Keep your device locked. Anyone who can unlock your device with your fingerprint, your face, or your device code can use your Halo on that device. That is the point of it, and it is your responsibility.
One person, one Halo. Do not create an account for someone else, and do not attach a phone number or an email address that is not yours.
How we prove it is you
Halo uses passkeys: your fingerprint or your face unlocks a key that never leaves your device. We never receive, see, or store anything biometric.
When a device cannot do that, we send a one-time code to a channel you control, or you may set a local code that works only on a device you have already used.
A one-time code proves we can reach you. On its own, it does not authorise a payment.
Paying with Halo
Halo is free for you. Forever. Stores pay us; you never do.
Your card details are held by our payment processor, not by us. We store a reference, never the number.
You authorise each payment when you approve it at a store. We never charge you on our own initiative.
Prices, availability, shipping times and the store's own refunds are the store's responsibility. Halo Purchase Protection is a separate promise from us, in its own document.
Text messages
If you give us your phone number, you agree that we may text you one-time codes and security alerts about your Halo. How often depends on your own activity. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to stop them, or HELP for help. Stopping texts does not close your Halo, but you will need another way to sign in.
We will never text you marketing without asking you separately, and we will never ask you for your code. Anyone who does is not us.
Closing your Halo
You can close your Halo yourself, from inside your Halo, in Account. No email to write and nobody to convince. We ask you to prove it is you first — the same proof as paying — because closing cannot be undone.
We may suspend or close an account used for fraud, one that harms the network, or one the law requires us to close. If we do, we will tell you unless the law forbids it.
Closing a Halo does not cancel purchases already made, and does not erase records we must keep by law.
What we owe you, and what we do not
We run Halo with reasonable care and keep it available as best we can, but we do not promise it will never be interrupted.
Except where the law says otherwise, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to you for a purchase is limited to the amounts covered by Halo Purchase Protection for that purchase.
Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer under the law of the place you live.
Changes, law, disputes
If we change these terms, we publish the new version with a new date and tell you before it applies to you.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
